KEFIR SMOOTHIES

Activated Charcoal & Spearmint Kefir Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup kefir
  • 1/4 teaspoon activated charcoal powder
  • Few spearmint leaves or 1/2 teaspoon spearmint leaves powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil seeds
  • 1 teaspoon virgin coconut oil (optional)

Instructions:

Blend all the ingredients (except chia seeds and basil seeds) in a blender until smooth.
Top with chia seeds, basil seeds and coconut oil.
Serve chilled.

Red Dragonfruit Kefir Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup kefir
  • 1/2 cup dragon fruit, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions:

Blend all the ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Serve chilled.


Red Grapes & Cinnamon Kefir Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup kefir
  • 8-9 red grapes (or any type of grapes of your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder

Instructions:

Blend 5-6 grape with all the ingredients in a blender (except chia seeds) until smooth. Chop the rest for garnishing.
Top with chopped grapes, chia seeds, almond powder and cinnamon powder.
Serve chilled.


Orange Kefir Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup kefir
  • 2 tablespoon orange pulp or 4 slices of fresh orange
  • 1/4 teaspoon orange peel powder or fresh orange zest
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds, roasted
  • 1/2 tablespoon honey

Instructions:

Blend all the ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Top with orange peel powder or zest.
Serve chilled.


Mango & Cashew Kefir Smoothie

  • 3/4 cup kefir
  • 3 tablespoon mango pulp or 1/2 cup fresh mango, chopped
  • 4-5 cashews
  • 1/2 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil seeds

Instructions:

Blend all the ingredients (except chia seeds and basil seeds) in a blender until smooth.
Serve chilled.


Citrus Kefir Smoothie

  • 3/4 cup kefir
  • 2 tablespoon hemp seeds
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon orange peel powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon kefir lime leaves powder (optional)
  • Kefir lime zest, as per taste
  • Lemon zest, as per taste
  • Few drops lemon essence (optional)

Instructions:

Blend all the ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Serve chilled.

  • 6-7 blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds, roasted

Mixed Berries Kefir Smoothie

  • 1/2cup mixed berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries)
  • 1 tablespoon assorted seeds (chia, basil, sunflower, muskmelon, watermelon, pumpkin), roasted
  • 1/2 tablespoon honey

Instructions:

Blend all the ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Top with few chia seeds and basil seeds.
Serve chilled.


Lemongrass & Mint Kefir Smoothie

  • 3/4 cup kefir
  • 1/2 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Few mint leaves or 1 teaspoon mint leaves powder
  • Few drops of edible lemongrass oil or 1/4 teaspoon lemongrass powder

Instructions:

Blend all the ingredients (except chia seeds) in a blender until smooth.
Top with lemongrass, mint leaves, chia seeds and coconut oil.
Serve chilled.

  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened chocolate powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon carob powder (optional)
  • Chocolate syrup (optional)
  • Few drops vanilla essence
  • Few drops chocolate essence (optional)
  • A pinch of sea salt

Instructions:

Blend all the ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Top with some cinnamon powder and chocolate syrup.
Serve chilled.


No Sugar Chocolate Kefir Smoothie

Pumpkin Spice Kefir Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup kefir
  • 3 tablespoon pumpkin pulp or 1/2 cup baked pumpkin, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds, roasted
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon cloves powder

Instructions:

Blend all the ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Top with cinnamon powder and pumpkin seeds.
Serve chilled.


Apple Cinnamon Kefir Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup kefir
  • 1/2 cup apple, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg powder

Instructions:

Cook apple over a nonstick pan with water.
When the apples are half cooked, add cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder and honey.
Close the flame and keep aside to cool.
When they are room temperature, blend them with kefir until smooth.
Top with cinnamon powder.
Serve chilled.


Thandai Kefir Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup kefir
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3-4 pistachios
  • 3-4 cashews
  • 1-2 almonds
  • 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds, roasted
  • 2 small cardamom
  • 2-3 black peppercorn
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon honey
  • Few drops of kewra or khus essence (rose water can also be used instead)
  • A few strands of saffron

Instructions:

Blend cashews, pistachio, almonds, fennel seeds, roasted poppy seeds, black peppercorns and cardamom to a fine powder.
Now add kefir, milk, essence, honey and blend untill smooth.
Garnish with saffron and serve chilled.


Muskmelon & Coconut Kefir Smoothie

  • 1/3 cup fresh muskmelon, chopped
  • 1/3 cup fresh desiccated coconut
  • 1 tablespoon muskmelon seeds
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Blend all the ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Top with muskmelon seeds and muskmelon pieces.
Serve chilled.

  • 1/2 teaspoon sunflower seeds, roasted
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Sitaphal (Custard Apple) Kefir Smoothie

  • 2-3 cashews
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder

Top with cardamom powder.

Pomegranate Kefir Smoothie

Blend all the ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Top with pomegranate seeds.

Avocado & Coconut Kefir Smoothie

  • 3/4 cup kefir
  • 1/3 cup avocado, chopped
  • 1/3 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon coconut cream (optional)

Instructions:

Blend all the ingredients (except coconut cream) in a blender until smooth.
Top with coconut cream.
Serve chilled.


Kiwi Kefir Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup kefir
  • 1 kiwi, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions:

Keep few slices of kiwi aside for decoration and blend the rest with all the ingredients in a blender until smooth.
Decorate the glass with kiwi slices and pour kefir smoothie.
Serve chilled.
